Thanks for ordering from us-we are sure you will be delighted with the custom products we offer.

Our goal is to provide you with unique handcrafted products at an affordable price. Our blades have been chosen for their superior materials and craftsmanship and are hand finished with the highest quality authentic materials. We want you to be pleased with your purchase. 

PAYMENT TERMS - ALL BLADE AND FURNITURE RELATED ORDERS ARE CUSTOM ORDERS - On most orders we request full payment before we can start the customization process. We are not like most sword companies - each blade must be individually constructed for each customer, requiring custom parts and the extensive work of in-house craftsman. We have no customer for a blade that has been ordered, custom built and then cancelled. Payment may be made by paypal, personal check, cashier’s check, or money order.  Credit cards are accepted at our discretion for your convenience. Credit card chargebacks will be treated as a bad check.

CANCELLATIONS/EXCHANGES/RETURNS - The Terms of Sale are closed upon acceptance of your order.  Blades orders may be cancelled within 48 hours of receipt of order.  Merchandise may not be returned or exchanged after leaving our workshop or gallery without our prior approval.  Deposits made on orders cancelled within 48 hours will be refunded by corporate check in 15 business days. This includes payments made by credit card.

ESTIMATED SHIPPING/ARRIVAL TIME-NOT A GUARANTEE -  We do our best to assure your merchandise ships within the estimated period. However, these are estimates only and can be affected by different factors. Our swords and blades are custom, individual items and built-to-order using the tallents of multiple carftsman. Due to the handcrafted nature of the swords and their component parts,  production schedules can slip due to circumstances beyond our control. Therefore, delivery times indicated are an estimate and not guaranteed.  Since these delivery schedules are estimates, we cannot offer any monetary compensation, order cancellation, or deposit refunds. This applies to all blades but in particular to Tamahagane and other sepciealized steels and to custom length blades. Should a delay occur, we will notify you as soon as possible. Please be patient-it will be worth the wait!

Overseas Shipments - Customs Duties: You are responsible for all Duties and fees and dealing with Customs Officials on shipments outside of the US. Zanshin is not responsible for for delays or non-receipt due to customs issues at the port of entry. 

DAMAGES: Shipping damages are fairly rare. If you do receive an item that has been damaged in shipment, please follow these guidelines:

1. Please inspect your pachage carefully before signing the bill of lading from the shipper. All obvious damages to the package must be written on the bill of lading provided by the shipper. Should you notice damge once you open the pachage, please contact the shipper right away. Then call Zanshin.
